Setting up your everwet shower

Your everwet shower will be delivered with two 10m hoses and all the fixings you need for a relatively simple set up – no need for extra plumbing, you can just connect to your existing taps. There are various options for connecting to both hot and cold water supply and, as everwet showers run on a standard click lock hose system, you have the versatility to place anywhere in your outdoor space using one or both hoses.

Your shower will arrive in 2 sections - the top with the shower head and the base with copper pipes & compression valves for the taps already in position. You will only need to make one connection by dropping the top section into the valves of the base.

Make sure the top section is seated equally on both sides and aligned before gently hand tightening the nuts on the compression joint to hold it all in place. If you are handy with a spanner all you will need is a friend to steady the pipes - however, a qualified plumber would make light work of this task and would ensure your shower is fitted correctly.

To seal the unit place an adjustable spanner or wrench around the bottom section of the valve and hold firmly in place.  Place a second adjustable spanner or wrench around the upper nut of the valve and tighten fully, remembering to keep the tap and valve in the same position facing forward.

To protect the brass components you can cover with a chamois or thick cloth before putting the tools in place

With the top attached and the shower placed in your chosen location you can connect the hoses to the outlets on the back of the base using the pre attached retractable heads. We have already fashioned the copper pipework and secured it in place so it really is just a case of click and go.

Our recommended set up is hot & cold feed from two outdoor taps however, if your set up is from a single faucet, select which hose inlet you will need and turn the tap off at the front of the shower on the other side. Connect a single hose to the back of the shower and store the second hose as a spare, or use it to water the plants.Versatility is part of what makes everwet outdoor showers unique  - whatever your set up there is an option straight out of the crate.

Universal adaptor

For indoor taps we have custom made adaptors to our own exclusive design, creating a stylish finish in brushed high grade stainless steel. Simply remove the factory fitted aerator end cap from your tap and replace with our adaptor, choosing either female (22mm) or male (24mm) depending on the aerator style. No clunky plastic here, our adaptors can be left in place all the time with no compromise on style in your kitchen or bathroom.  For non standard taps we also supply a universal high grade clip adaptor with rubber fitting.

A single standard garden tap if cold water therapy is for you simply attach one of the hoses from the cold outlet on the back of the shower base to your existing connector on the garden tap and close the hot tap on the front of the shower

Hot & cold garden taps: Our recommended option for maximum versatility, if you don't have an outdoor hot tap it is an easy install for plumbers

Indoor mixer tap: Choose one of our adapters from the shop and simply plug and go with a single hose, selecting your temperature at the indoor tap and closing the shower tap that is not in use - you can store the hose as a spare.

Indoor separate taps: As with the single feed mixer tap, choose your adaptors to plug and go. This option gives you temperature control at the shower itself.

One of each indoor/ outdoor: the 10m hoses are independent so you can run one from indoors (kitchen, bathroom, cloakroom etc) and one from outside if this suits your set up e.g. if you have cold water outside and want to connect to a hot tap inside.

With your shower in place, hoses laid out and adaptors fitted the final job is to secure it in place with our safety kit. We provide chain, D-ring bracket, clip and screws as standard and recommend attaching the bracket to a strong surface

such as a deck or wall on either side of the shower so the chain can loop around the front of the unit, just above the taps. Use the clip to adjust the chain for a secure fit, ensuring minimal slack without strain.

Showering in the rain, snow and ice on a misty morning is an energising and uplifting experience that we thoroughly recommend. However, you’d be wise to remember the wind is your enemy and lightening is an absolute no go – do not use the shower in thunderstorms and always make sure the area you will be standing in is ice-free
